The
Center for Human Systems PRESENTS
THE POWER LAB
AT AIRLIE HOUSE
Featuring Michael F. Broom, Ph.D. and Heather
Berthoud, M.S.
POWER IS ESSENTIAL
for
those of us wanting to accomplish important goals. Whether your
goals are professional or personal you can gain the power you
need to achieve them at the POWER LAB @ AIRLIE HOUSE
A WEEK LONG PROGRAM FOR
Individuals
who are interested in increasing their power and ability to manage
personal, professional, and/or organizational change. Anyone wanting
to increase their personal or organizational power for application
at home or at work will get significant value from the Power Lab
@ Airlie House. At the same time the program will be of particular
interest to internal and external change management and organization
development practitioners, organizational leaders and managers.
THE PROGRAM
Acquiring
the power and influence to manage change in our organizations,
at home, or just for ourselves is often an uphill battle requiring
considerable personal power and influence. Accordingly, The
Power Lab at Airlie House focuses on developing our ability
to consciously manage our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and behavior-conscious
use of self. By doing so, we can discover and access the enormous
power that is inherently ours, begin to put and end to the myriad
ways we disempower ourselves, and learn how to create the support
we need to accomplish our goals and our dreams.
In the program you will:
Discover
within yourself the power to accomplish your organizational and personal
change goals.
Learn
how to create support systems needed for personal and organizational change.
Move
toward mastery of seven transformative disciplines of change management defined
by Broom and Edie and Charlie Seashore at Johns Hopkins University.
Work
with differences so that they become sources of learning and synergy rather than
sources of adversity and hostility.
Play
win/win while influencing others to support you and your goals.
Empower
others to improve their performance on behalf of organizational and personal
goals.
Remove
the stress of power struggles from your relationships at work and your personal
life and prevent unwanted power abuse.
THE
FORMAT
This
is an extraordinary program that uses theory, group discussion,
experiential exercises, introspection, meditations, role plays,
outdoor work, individual coaching, and other equally potent learning
modalities to immediately enhance your change management skills.
THE
PARTICIPANTS
If
you are someone interested in increasing your ability to manage
personal and organizational change and you are willing to learn
from deep self-reflection and experiential group-processes,
this program is for you.
